Fellowship
Almost everything at Sixth Church, from choir and community outreach to worship and the coffee afterwards, has elements of fellowship. However, there are some specific, formal and informal activities and events. If you would like more information on any of them contact office@sixthchurch.org
Events:
- Fellowship after worship
- Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
- Church Picnic and Worship in the Park
- Third Thursday Summer Concerts
- Men's, Women's, and Family Weekends at Crestfield
- Advent Crafts, supper, and tree trimming
- Christmas Pageant and Dinner
Activities:
Women with Children. An evening of socializing without children. Second and Fourth Thursdays of the month 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Play Group. Women and children. Friday. 10:00 a.m.
Parents Potluck. Dinner, fellowship, discussion of spiritual development. Every one eats, children have experienced caregivers, discussion follows. Third Thursday of the month. 6:00 p.m.
Loaves and Fishes. Each month the group picks a restaurant and meets for a meal together.
Youngish Adult Group. This 20 to 40ish group plans a casual social activity or service project once a month. Also meets after Worship for study and lunch.
Flix at Sixth. A free movie, free popcorn, soda, and a freewheeling discussion. First Friday of the month. Parlor. 7:30 p.m.
Informal:
Bridge: Anywhere from four to sixteen women meet monthly, on an ad hoc basis.
Dragon Boating: Sixth friends of all ages and levels of fitness enjoy the river in dragon boats (paddlesup.blogspot.com).
