Children and Youth: Future Casting!

Be Part of the Conversation!

You are invited to participate in an upcoming assessment and visioning process for our children’s and youth ministries at Sixth Presbyterian Church. We need to hear your voice, ideas, and desires for our ministry together.

In our congregation when we baptize a child we promise “to guide and nurture this child, by word and deed with love and prayer, encouraging him or her to know and follow Christ and to become a faithful member of Christ’s church.” In keeping with this often-repeated promise, we seek your input to be able to provide healthy, safe and nurturing relationships, and to create an environment in which those relationships can flourish.

We are calling this event “Future Casting” as together we will work to clarify our mission, values, and set goals for our children’s and youth ministry in the coming years.

Please come to our first gathering on Tuesday, February 25, in the Chapel at 6:30 pm. This is also the night we celebrate Shrove Tuesday with a Pancake Supper in the Ridinger Room which begins at 5 pm. Come for pancakes and then stay for gathering. Childcare will be provided during the meeting.

RSVP for the gathering and answer the assessment questions that will be important to our evening together. If you are unable to attend, please answer the assessment questions anyway as your insights are important to us. Please RSVP and complete the assessment by Friday, Feb. 14.
