Join in our task force working to address gun violence in our city. Write letters. Attend one of the meetings where community, city, and police officials come together to work on this issue.
Volunteer with Global Links, which sends medical supplies to needy areas. Volunteer with Wilkinsburg Community Ministry or East End Cooperative Ministry, two local organizations with multiple programs to serve their communities.
Walk in the CROP Hunger Walk. Our Pittsburgh East walk takes place each October, and we’ve been successful in raising funds for the most basic of human needs. 75% of the money raised goes to the urgent hunger and refugee programs of Church World Service. 25% benefits hunger programs in Pittsburh.
